CAROLINE NINA CAMPBELL, MSW
Caroline Campbell has worked in the human services sector on women’s and children’s issues for the past twenty years. She was a founding member of a non-profit pioneering clinical support for women and children affecting by violence and has worked as a clinician and advocate as well as event manager. She currently serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee for the Board of Directors of Family Services of Greater Vancouver. Integrative medicine and public health policy in both the US and Canada have been a large part of her studies as well as nutrition and yoga.
Her Event Management experience includes the Clinton Presidential Library opening, five Super Bowls, the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and consultant to President Obama¹s Inauguration. Notable experience also includes the ground operation for the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security in the relief effort following Hurricane Katrina. Most recently, Caroline has served as an operational liaison between the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee and its government partners and in the planning and execution of the VANOC Venue Infrastructure Command Centre.
Caroline hopes to support better messaging to women about alternative support and healing approaches for breast cancer and to help normalize these alternatives. As an adolescent, Caroline lost her first family member to breast cancer and more recently, her mother and best friend were diagnosed.
